Are You Ready to Reimagine Retail?

Mar 01, 2017

(NORWALK, Connecticut, March 1, 2017) — Independent Retailers stay busy running the day-to-day operations at their stores. From managing inventory to training your staff to staying on top of the latest trends and technology, there’s plenty to do.
But there are some projects you may have thought of taking on, if only you had the time or money. The National Hardware Show® may be able to help! Just ask yourself: What would you do to improve your store if you were given $100,000?

At the National Hardware Show, Tuesday, May 9 – Thursday, May 11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, one lucky independent retailer will have a chance to find out.
The Reimagine Retail program, sponsored by the National Hardware Show, is collecting nominations from independent retailers to learn more about what kinds of projects would improve their stores for the future. The contest focuses on  projects from the following business improvement areas:

  • Store Design
  • Technology
  • Employees
  • Products

Together with the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) and a panel of industry professionals, the entries and projects will be reviewed, and finalists will be provided transportation and hotel accommodations at the National Hardware Show. The winner will be announced and awarded the grand prize of $100,000 during the Show, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
Submissions are now being accepted. To apply, submit a 500-word description highlighting how you would use this money to improve your business.  For a complete list of rules and a submission form, visit
